Xbox360 trouble shooting
Disc Problems
One little problem with an Xbox 360 is that it sometimes doesn’t read games or disc.
This can mean a variety of things. The most likely is that the disc is dirty or scratched in which you can just clean the disc off. Another reason it may not read a disc is the disc tray is dusty. This is a very simple fix. Just blow into the slot where the disc tray opens.

Internet Connection
In a situation where you can’t get connected to Xbox Live this can be multiple problems.
One reason this might be happening ( if you have the first edition of Xbox 360) is your internet cable may not be connected from your router to your Xbox. If you have a wireless Xbox then it could just be cloudy weather. If you want to check why your Xbox Live isn’t working check the internet connection when the option pops up when you go to sign in to your XboxLive character.

Freezing Xbox
When your Xbox freezes theres pretty much only one thing to do… but first check if you can go to the dashboard by pressing the home button on the controller. If this doesn’t work then its completely frozen. In this case turn your xbox off and move it to an open, well ventilated area and let it sit for a minute to cool off. This is a good example of where it should be.

Hard Drive Not Saving
If your hard drive doesn’t save your data then your hard drive is either full or damaged. Try taking it out and putting it back in. If this doesn’t work check how much space is left on your hard drive. If neither of these work you may need a new hard drive.

Flashing Red lights 1-4
1; Bottom right red light: If the bottom right light is red that means your console is experiencing a hardware error. Your console will still turn on and should display an error code starting with an E and two following digits.
2; Both left side lights: When both left lights are flashing this means your console is overheating. When this happens it is best to leave your console in a well ventilated area for at least an hour before playing. To prevent this from happening again leave your console in a well ventilated area.
3; Red ring of death…: This is one or more of the Xbox’s component is malfunctioning. In this case your Xbox will not turn on so you may not receive the error code, you’d have to receive it manually from the Xbox. Once again this is a problem mostly caused by overheating. You must keep your Xbox in a well ventilated area and make sure you cooling vents are not obstructed. If you pinpoint the problem that is affecting your xbox you may buy a Red Ring of Death Fix Kit.
4;All lights red; If this occurs then your A/V cable is not connected. Reconnect your cable to the console or the display you’re using.

Video Problems
If your picture comes out blurry, or is stretched or is just plain blank, it could be a feature of the game you are playing. It may just be their graphic, or how they wanted it to look. Kinect sensor problems
If you have a kinect with your Xbox 360 console, and it is not connecting to your Xbox, turn it off and you could simply just try to unplug and plug it. Remove the Power/USB adapter cable if your Kinect sensor came with one. Turn on the console. The Kinect needs to have a green light by the wire. The Kinect needs to have a red dot by the side of the camera, to show that it is working and on.

Controller Problems
If the buttons stick, wipe it off with a wet cloth. To prevent buttons from sticking, don’t eat food and touch the controller. Wash your hands, especially if it is greasy food or sticky. If you are having trouble with your controller joystick, for example if it does not let you move around freely in a first person shooter game or does not let you move, in order to fix it you can press down on your joystick and blow into it so that the dust particles inside it that is causing the trouble will go away.
